The Seacoast Ski Club
The Seacoast Ski Club sponsors Alpine and Nordic ski trips plus a wide variety of outdoor sport activities in the ”other” three seasons and social events year round. Members generally share an active outdoor lifestyle, an interest in travel and enjoy the social opportunities clubs can offer.
The Seacoast Ski Club is a nonprofit organization. It’s run by its members to offer good values on our ski packages and all other club activities. Trip leaders are also members. They volunteer to receive club training to successfully organize and promote club-sponsored trips. For more than 20 years, volunteer members have also organized the annual Seacoast Ski Club Ski Swap to benefit the skiing and snowboarding families of the greater Seacoast community.
Each year we run three weeklong alpine ski trips and numerous weekend ski trips throughout New England and Eastern Canada. Recent destinations include Chamonix, France; Cortina, Italy; Innsbruck, Austria; Zermatt, Switzerland; Banff and Whistler in Canada; and Montana, Colorado and California in the U.S. There are also many trips in New England to Stowe, Sugarbush, Jay Peak, Sunday River, Sugarloaf, Cannon Mountain, Attitash and others.
The club offers cross-country skiing trips, bicycling, kayaking, day and overnight hiking, picnics, theater and movie jaunts, guest speakers, an annual dinner dance and more. Non-skiers may find there are more than enough other activities of interest to join our group — and maybe even learn to ski.
SSC meetings are held the second Monday of each month from September to June in the upstairs meeting room of the Red Hook Brewery at Pease International Tradeport in Portsmouth N.H. The meetings start at 7:30 p.m.
